Uncensored: Queer Art and the Church
Yesterday evening was the opening reception for UNCENSORED: Queer Art and the Church Exhibition at the Leslie-Lohman Annex Gallery.
A print of my painting ‘ Damned ‘ was part of this important exhibition denouncing the censorship of Queer Art by the Church. My friend Con Artist who also had a print of one of her pieces up on the walls of this exhibition, can be seen pointing to the image of my piece. Her’s is with the hooded priest and Altar boy. The exhibition runs till April 1, 2012.
Uncensored: Queer Art and the Church is an activist riposte to the shameful history of censorship against LGBTQ art and artists by both the Catholic Church and Fundamentalist Protestant Churches. The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art firmly believes that all art should be seen and displayed without regard to content; therefore submissions to Uncensored: Queer Art and the Church were not curated, edited, interpreted or censored.

Solo Art show and Opening reception at Venus Envy Ottawa
Starting on march 4th, 2012, many of my paintings will be featured for the whole month of march at Venus Envy Ottawa. The opening reception is on march the 4th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Entrance is free and includes a wine and small snacks. Come by and say hi, check out my art.

Plans are going ahead for my window Art showcase at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in Soho New York which will be held, as I understand things, from november 2011 till mid-january of 2012. For anyone in New York, please go see the exhibition, I have 4 paintings on display.

Pour une troisième année consécutive, le Conseil des Art du Québec (CAQ), en partenariat avec Bal érotique, est fier de présenter le FESTIVAL D’ART ÉROTIQUE DE MONTREAL, qui a pour objectifs de promouvoir positivement la sensualité, l’érotisme et la beauté à travers les arts : arts visuels, danse, performances, défilés de mode, musique, vidéo, films, lancement de livres et bien d’autres surprises. Il s’agit d’une occasion exceptionnelle de promouvoir les arts et les valeurs d’une société évolutive.
