I have not heard of the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto, might be good. I think the criteria I’d look for is can they teach one the fundamentals of line and tone drawing, of how to paint. The worst thing is formula, the best is knowledge. I hope you find the perfect school for you and I’m sure it’s out there. :)

Which art school did you go to? We may in fact be moving to Canada in the near future, and I’ve been looking into the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto, it looks amazing, do you know anything about it? I’m trying to find a private atelier school. It’s still possible that we will move to Montreal so I’d be interested to hear about your art school too. x
