This piece is about self-loathing as many of us women tend to feel towards our bodies due to the constant bombardment by the media who show women with impossible to attain body types ( usually photoshopped ).
But the pain and hurt we feel about our bodies are very real and I hope I was able to communicate a little of this in this painting.

Thank you very much, it’s a major issue with many women and I am personally invested in this issue as a woman. So many sisters are pushed into false notions about our bodies and how they should look. I am so glad I am able to touch others with my art.
I found this from your flikr. I think i viewed your website a year or so ago.. it inspires me to return to paint again. Great and intellectual art with postiive messages. Wish i could afford an original.
