My art at the Woman Made gallery in March 2015

One of my paintings was selected by the curator of the 18th International Open group exhibition at the Woman Made Gallery  in March/April of 2015. The piece in question is ‘ A Dismantlement ‘.

The MOTHA Art Awards are modeled after high-profile, industry- and identity-specific prizes such as the Lambda Literary and the GLAAD Awards, which celebrate a few achievements of the LGBT creative community and their mainstream media representations, respectively. The MOTHA Awards are also inspired by the performance-based artwork the Rob Pruitt Art Awards ( The MOTHA Awards highlight transgender contributions to our current cultural landscape while also highlighting the limitations inherent in such a system of competition, exclusion, tokenism, and positive-image pandering. Nominations and voting are open to everyone.

The winners of the 2013 MOTHA Art Awards will be posted to the MOTHA website ( after December 1, 2013. Winners will receive nothing but the winning title. Winners must determine for themselves if the title signifies recognition of the merit of their work.


Marcelle Ferron painting auction on ArtBomb Montreal on 27th September.

ArtBomb is auctioning a small oil painting by Quebec artist Marcelle Ferron this coming friday the 27th ( one day only ). ArtBomb met aux enchères une oeuvre à l’huile sur papier de l’artiste Québécoise Marcelle Ferron, ce vendredi le 27 septembre via son site ( pour une journée seulement ).


My art to be showcased in THE FEMAIL PROJECT this september 2013.

I have been asked to send off jpg images of 5 of my pieces for ‘ THE FEMAIL PROJECT ‘, an exhibition of portraits and overall images of contemporary feminism. This is on a global scale though the exhibition itself will be held in Birmingham, UK in september 2013. So excited to have my art in such a special exhibition. A shout out to the wonderful women who posed for these pieces ( Michelle, Kitty, Melanie, Jennifer, Viktoria and Sirena ).
